Setup of TwonkyMedia server
Here, I would like to explain how to set-up the TwonkyMedia server, which is compatible to Mac OS, as a Media Server.
1. To install TwonkyMedia server (Mac version)
Download the TwonkyMedia Trial version
Unpack the Zip file and double click the mpkg file. Please install the application according to the explanation.
2. How to set the server
The settings of the TwonkyMedia server can be done through the web browser.
2.1. Basic settings
Select "First steps" from the menu on the left and the following screen page will be shown.
Set the sever name, any name that can be identified is okay, and select iPod-like for the Navigation Tree.
2.2. Set public directory
Select "Sharing" from the menu on the left, and the following screen page will be shown. The settings of the public directory can be adjusted here.
Select the directory that contains contents.
As for the upper image, the location of the music is set to /Users/[USERNAME]/Music, the location for the pictures is set to /Users/[USERNAME]/Pictures, the location for the video is set to /Users/[USERNAME]/Movies. The contents in these directories will be recognized automatically and be disclosed from the Media Server.
When the settings are finished, press "Save Changes".
3. Restarting the server
After finishing the settings for the contents, open the TwonkyMedia server settings page and select "First steps". Press "Restart server" and restart the server.
