This glossary is made referring to Dictionary.com and Wikipedia.

GPL

General Public License is intended to make sure the software is free for all its users. The GPL is designed to make sure that they receive source code or can get it if they want and they can change the software or use pieces of it in new free programs. The GPL forbids anyone to deny others these rights.

MultiVNC is released under GPL.

Linux

Linux is an implementation of the Unix kernel originally written from scratch with no proprietary code and available under GPL.

Since MultiVNC is Linux software, you can build MultiVNC environment at no software cost.

VNC

"Virtual Network Computing (VNC) is a desktop protocol to remotely control another computer. It transmits the keyboard presses and mouse clicks from one computer to another relaying the screen updates back in the other direction, over a network."
